Cabinets, wainscoting, paneling, built-ins, multi-layer assemblies and coffered ceilings
Saving What Cannot Simply Be Replaced

Custom cabinetry, wainscoting, raised paneling, built-in millwork, layered floor and wall assemblies and coffered ceilings are the elements of a property that are expensive, slow and sometimes impossible to reproduce. They are also the hardest things in a building to dry, because they are assembled from multiple layers with concealed voids that trap water where conventional airflow never reaches. The default answer is demolition. Restotech's specialty drying is built to avoid it.

Assembly-Specific Drying Techniques

Each assembly gets a method matched to its construction. Cabinet boxes, toe kicks and sink bases are dried with directed airflow through drilled access points in concealed locations and negative pressure applied to the cavity. Wainscoting, paneling and built-ins are dried through injection systems that push conditioned air behind the finish, or by removing base and cap trim to open the cavity without touching the visible panel. Multi-layer floor assemblies are dried with mat systems creating negative pressure through the surface, drawing water up through each layer. Coffered ceilings, beams and soffits are dried through concealed access with dedicated airflow into each pocket, since every coffer is effectively its own chamber.

Layer-by-Layer Verification

Every layer of every assembly is monitored independently, because a dry face over a wet substrate produces mold and delamination months later. Drying continues until each layer reaches dry standard, with daily readings recorded by location. Access points are made in concealed areas and patched invisibly, and trim is reinstalled and finished to match. You receive layer-by-layer moisture documentation for each assembly, which is what justifies the specialty drying cost to a carrier against the far higher cost of replacing custom millwork.
