Disinfection is effective only after cleaning. Applying an antimicrobial over soil, residue or biofilm inactivates the product and leaves the underlying contamination intact, which is the most common failure in low-cost remediation work. Restotech treats disinfection as one controlled step inside a defined sequence of source removal, detailed cleaning and verified drying, not as the whole job.
We select EPA-registered antimicrobials, disinfectants and sanitizers matched to the organism, the substrate and the occupancy, including hospital-grade disinfectants for Category three losses, botanical and low-toxicity options for occupied homes and sensitive occupants, and products labeled for porous versus non-porous surfaces. Application method is matched to the target: direct wipe and mechanical action for contact surfaces, coarse spray for large areas, ULV fogging for uniform coverage of complex geometry, and electrostatic application where wrap-around coverage of irregular surfaces is needed. Products are applied at labeled concentration with the full required dwell time.
Applications are performed under the appropriate containment and ventilation with technicians in required protective equipment, and reoccupancy timelines follow the product label. We document the products used, EPA registration numbers, concentrations, dwell times, areas treated and safety data sheets, and where the scope calls for it we verify results with surface sampling. Applicable to remediation projects, post-loss decontamination and routine disinfection for commercial and residential facilities.
