Openings are measured and closed with exterior-grade structural panels cut to fit and fastened to sound framing, using through-bolted carriage bolt and interior strongback assemblies on high-risk or ground-level openings where surface fastening alone can be defeated. Perimeters are sealed against water and wind intrusion. Where the property must remain accessible, we install secure lockable access points so adjusters, trades and owners can enter without compromising the closure.
Board up work is documented with photographs, opening dimensions, materials and labor for your insurance file, and it is performed to satisfy the mitigation obligation in your policy. We also coordinate with local code and vacant property requirements where they apply. Panels are maintained for the duration of the project and removed as permanent glazing and doors are reinstalled during reconstruction.
