Defining the Affected Area

Moisture mapping converts a water loss into measurable data. We record moisture content readings at fixed, repeatable points across every affected material, plot them against a dry standard established from unaffected material of the same type in the same structure, and draw the true boundary of the wet area. Water migrates by capillary action along framing, under flooring and through insulation, so the visible wet spot is almost never the real perimeter.

Instrumentation and Daily Monitoring

We use non-penetrating meters for finished surfaces, penetrating and hammer-probe meters for subfloor, framing and multi-layer assemblies, and thermo-hygrometers to track temperature, relative humidity, GPP and dew point inside the drying chamber, in unaffected areas and outdoors. Readings are taken at the same documented points every day of the drying process, so we can prove that materials are trending down and adjust equipment placement, airflow and dehumidification the moment progress stalls.

Documentation That Closes the Claim

You receive a moisture map of the structure, a daily log of readings by location, and a final set of readings demonstrating that every affected material has returned to dry standard. This is the record that justifies the equipment on site, supports the drying duration billed, and gives your adjuster a defensible basis for the claim. It is also your proof that the structure was dried properly and is not at risk of secondary mold growth.
